Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What form do I have to perform?
Some students who have recently acquired a new belt wish to perform a form they are more comfortable with. No problem, you can do any form at your rank or below. Our recommendation? Use a form that demonstrates your confidence and technical ability and do your best!
2. Who am I going up against?
Mach MA Masters
have grouped each division with special thought and care. Divisions are seperated by age, rank, and technical ability to greatest experience possible.
3. How am I judged?
All competitors are judged on the following criteria: Sharpness, power, focus, technique, and above all confidence!
4. Who will be judging?
Mach MA parent volunteers, Black Belts and competition team members have undergone special judging seminars to ensure a fair and accurate scoring.
5. How can I practice?
We will continue to focus in class on tournament style forms but remember, it is essential to practice hard at home!
Things to focus on: Correct and Balanced Stances, Strength and Quickness of Strikes and Blocks, Patient and Consistent Timing (don't rush your form!), and a loud Kihap!
